Clinical tips and tricks – and a cabaret show

by Guy Hiscott

Join Dr Martin Kelleher, consultant in restorative dentistry, for an afternoon of clinical tips and tricks in restorative dentistry on 14 November.

The British Dental Association (BDA) Northern Ireland branch will be holding the event in Belfast – with dinner and a cabaret show for afters.

Claudette Christie, president of the BDA NI, said: ‘This is proving to be a record year for BDA Northern Ireland, as our CPD events are drawing even bigger audiences.

‘While CPD is important, why not mix it up with a social event? A cabaret and dinner evening is just the antidote to a cold November.’

Topics covered will consider common pitfalls for the unwary in the ‘marketing’ of elective dentistry, how to avoid outcomes that fail to satisfy patients’ expectations.

The event will also seek to improve the understanding of patients’ real issues and aspirations in relative to cosmetic dentistry, drawing attention to some useful clinical techniques and materials.

The event will feature a piano bar with drinks, followed by dinner, magic and music, with entertainment from Tim McGarry dancing to swing musician James Huish.
